What is the Tech Compact for Social Justice?
In Massachusetts, the tech workforce is predominately white and male, with only 5% Black and 7% Hispanic and Latino workers. Recognizing this lack of diversity, the Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC) created the Executive Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee (EDISC) in 2018. Its mission is to develop a more inclusive tech workforce.
Still, progress has been slow and EDISC has recognized that more needs to be done to make the tech industry more inclusive. To address this lack of progress and to encourage inclusion and meaningful change, the Tech Compact for Social Justice was launched.
This is a time when people are speaking out and we, as leaders, need to listen to them. This is how change happens, and that is why we launched the Tech Compact for Social Justice. We recognize that Boston and the tech industry have not done enough to support and encourage the inclusion of Black, Latinx, and Indigenous people, and we accept our responsibility to do more to make change at the company and community level.

Together, we can make a change
We are excited to be part of this movement along with many of our clients past and present, including Flywire, Mimecast, and Rapid7.
We urge you to make a commitment of your own! Together, we can work towards a more welcoming and inclusive industry.
This is such an important initiative on so many fronts. We are very proud to be part of the MassTLC Tech Compact for Social Justice, and we view this as an opportunity to continue to diversify our team and support social justice for all.
